Hi, I’m Missy! I am a sweet girl with the cutest tuxedo that loves neck scratches and sleeping right next to humans.
I’ve been in foster care for a few months now and I like roaming all around the house. I was pretty shy at first and needed a few days to settle in, but now I love being glued next to my carers whenever they sit on the couch. Tuna gets me extremely excited and you’ll probably hear me telling you how much I like it if it does make an appearance. I will also stand up on my back legs for food. I live for neck scratches and head rubs and will allow the occasional gentle tummy rub. When I get really comfortable, I love sleeping with my paws in the air too!
I am not the most playful cat, but when I’m in the mood, I do like to try to catch anything that moves. My tail is very expressive and will tell you exactly how I feel. However, I am quite skittish, so loud noises and new people startle me quite easily, therefore a quiet household with no children would suit me best. I might seem a bit timid at first, but give me a bit of time and I’ll come snuggle next to you!
I am an FIV positive cat, so I do need to be kept indoors. Although, I do like staring at the humans through the glass when they go out to the backyard. You might hear me make the odd sneeze as well, but that doesn’t seem to bother me very much.
Please arrange to come and meet me at my foster home in Kardinya.
Missy is one of our special FIV positive cats. This means you need to take extra special care of this gorgeous gal. FIV+ cats have to protect their immune systems - just like humans who have recovered from a health issue. So you will need to ensure she has her annual health check and vaccinations plus regular worm and flea treatments (just as you would for any cat). In support of our lovely FIV+ cats the annual vaccination is free at the Cat Haven Vet Clinic. To protect both her and other cats Missy needs to be an indoor cat and, unless you have another FIV+ cat, she needs to be your one-and-only feline fur-child.
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
