Hector is a deserving chap who is looking for long term love. While he is quite shy initially, he rewards you with affection and play in return for a little patience. Hector will reward your commitment with delight at your company and will be over the moon with neck scratches and tummy tickles.
Hector will be fine if you have work or other commitments during the day; he is not demanding and will happily entertain himself with his toys. If you love to entertain you may find Hector prefers to find a quiet spot of his own at this time, as he likes to get to know people before he opens up. For this reason Hector would suit an adults only household or a family with older children.
Hector was brought to Cat Haven from a council early last November and he waited patiently in the adoption sheds for a month hoping someone would see his potential. Competing with cute kittens in the lead up to Christmas is a difficult time for adult cats. So he went to a foster home for some R&R and to learn how to relax. Hector is truly deserving of a chance to live a comfortable life with people who will love and care for him. You can meet Hector in his new foster home in Maylands.

The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
