Hello there, I’m Jinx. I’m a friendly older fellow who can’t wait to settle down and enjoy my best years showered in love.
I’ve ended up at Cat Haven as, sadly, my owner passed away. It’s been tough but after spending a few months in foster I’m ready to go to my new forever home. I warm up pretty fast and you’ll have me purring away in your arms in no time.
In my foster home I live with an FIV cat so would probably be okay to share my new home with another FIV cat after a proper, slow introduction.
Can you give an older, gentle cat a second chance? If so, contact the foster care team to arrange a meeting in my foster home in Coollbellup.
Jinx is one of our special FIV positive cats. This means you need to take extra special care of this handsome man. FIV+ cats have to protect their immune systems - just like humans who have recovered from a health issue. So you will need to ensure he has his annual health check and vaccinations plus regular worm and flea treatments (just as you would for any cat). In support of our lovely FIV+ cats the annual vaccination is free at the Cat Haven Vet Clinic. To protect both him and other cats Jinx needs to be an indoor cat and, unless you have another FIV+ cat, he needs to be your one-and-only feline fur-child.
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
