When I first arrived at my foster house, I wanted to have my own space and hiding place. I needed until the afternoon to feel confident to come out and say hello.
I like sitting up high watching the world go by, and I also like being in my safe space under the bed. I like to wander the house, but I do scare with loud noises or sudden movements. If that happens I retreat to my safe spot. When you come to the room and call me, I will come out to say hello. I like to sleep on the bed. I like the scratching post and will try to catch wool being dangled around but lose interest after a while.
My fur is black and soft, with some areas a hint of brown. I wake with the sun, asking for breakfast. I love food, any cat food. What are leftovers?
Please come and see me soon in my foster home in Brentwood.
Ash is one of our special FIV positive cats. This means you need to take extra special care of this handsome man. FIV+ cats have to protect their immune systems - just like humans who have recovered from a health issue. So you will need to ensure he has his annual health check and vaccinations plus regular worm and flea treatments (just as you would for any cat). In support of our lovely FIV+ cats the annual vaccination is free at the Cat Haven Vet Clinic. To protect both him and other cats Ash needs to be an indoor cat and, unless you have another FIV+ cat, he needs to be your one-and-only feline fur-child.
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
