Hello, my name is Stephen King. I was found wandering the streets and I had a microchip but unfortunately it wasn’t registered. I waited for a long time for my owners to come for me but they never did.
When I'm not sleeping (hidey holes are my favourite places to sleep) I like to be nearby and spend time with you, so I'll often follow you from room to room and keep an eye on you.
I do have a sixth sense though ... I sense when it is TV time and I'll be on the couch beside you before you know it. I will expect pats though, lots and lots of pats.
I'm super shy and it will probably take me a while to get comfortable around my new family, but I'm also a quick learner. Just don't expect me to say hi to your visitors - I'll be in my hidey hole until they leave.
If you can give me a loving patient home with no other pets I will show you what a lovely boy I am. Adults and older children would be best - I can play a bit rough sometimes, as boys do. You can meet me in my foster home in Currambine (near Joondalup).
Stephen King is one of our special FIV positive cats. This means you need to take extra special care of this handsome boy. FIV+ cats have to protect their immune systems - just like humans who have recovered from a health issue. So you will need to ensure he has his annual health check and vaccinations plus regular worm and flea treatments (just as you would for any cat). In support of our FIV+ cats the annual vaccination is free at the Cat Haven Vet Clinic. To protect both him and other cats Stephen needs to be an indoor cat and, unless you have another FIV+ cat, he needs to be your one-and-only feline fur-child.
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
