Hello, my name is Stephen King. I was found wandering the streets and I had a microchip but unfortunately it wasn’t registered. I waited for a long time for my owners to come for me but they never did.
This is what my foster carer wrote about me: Steve spends a lot of time under the bed, because it's his favourite place to sleep, not because he's shy. He enjoys TV time in the evening, sleeping next to me when I'm on the couch, or hangs out in the kitchen while I cook. He loves pats, but can be a bit of a drooler on occasion. He is a bit of a talker, and growls as well as meows. His growls are not aggressive - they are just an extension of his vocabulary.
If you can give me a loving patient home with no kids or dogs I will show you what a lovely boy I am. You can meet me in my foster home in Currambine.
Stephen King is one of our special FIV positive cats. This means you need to take extra special care of this handsome man. FIV+ cats have to protect their immune systems - just like humans who have recovered from a health issue. So you will need to ensure he has his annual health check and vaccinations plus regular worm and flea treatments (just as you would for any cat). In support of our lovely FIV+ cats the annual vaccination is free at the Cat Haven Vet Clinic. To protect both him and other cats Stephen needs to be an indoor cat and, unless you have another FIV+ cat, he needs to be your one-and-only feline fur-child.
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
