I’m enjoying being in foster care with Frances and her husband Ron. Frances says I’m rather regal so she often calls me Margaret.
When I arrived, it only took me 20 minutes to make myself at home on Frances’ lap. She learnt promptly that I’m not keen on being picked up (my haughty hiss helped with that!) but I quickly get over it and allow her to stroke me. Which by the way, I crave.
I sleep on their velvet bedhead and now there is a lovely angora rug on it, as Frances wasn’t keen on me scratching the velvet. (Yes, I do have a scratching post but that’s not quite as fun!)
I’m a distinctive looking lady with my chocolate, orange ripple coat, which I keep in top condition. And I have the most intriguing, piercing and golden eyes. I’m vey affectionate (when I want to be, which is actually pretty often) and Frances says I’m the loudest purer she’s ever heard.
Life is very easy in this home. My carers are rather social and like to entertain frequently. Everyone adores me and I’m even kind to a little 6 year old that regularly comes over.
Frances also has friends with dogs, and I have met three since my time here. t’s fair to say that no matter the size of the dog, I’m the one that calls the shots. I love to make those dogs retreat backwards with their tail between their legs!
In saying that, with a slow introduction, I think I could share my forever home with a dog. Tonight I even ate my dinner peacefully with a dog laying in the same room. By the way, although Frances was provided with cat biscuits she realises that I adore cooked chicken and wet food (I’m particularly keen on Fancy Feast.)
I don’t flick kitty litter all over the house which keeps Frances happy.
I have sat outside on the back verandah with Frances keeping an eye on me. I love the heat on my back and when I’ve had enough, I sit underneath Frances’ chair.
I’m quite confident that I should find my forever home if you are able to find me someone deserving of me.
I'm a lovely girl who will love you with all my heart. Please come and see me in my foster home in Cottesloe.
Much love and more purrs,
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
