When I was at the shelter and when I first went to my foster home I was very frightened. However, my foster carer recently sent an update on my turnaround:
May s making great progress and is even allowing me to hand feed him ham as a treat! Such a turn around from the petrified boy who wanted to hide under the bed 24/7.
We have managed to get him out and about the house and he socialises well with our other young male cats, running around with them during the night and lounging with them during the day. However, May does like to sit underneath things (perhaps for security?), under desks, tables, chairs especially when there are humans around.
He does love to receive pats and scratches, and is an absolute smooch once he can trust you, rolling around on his back and rubbing himself all over the place. He loves to hang out with me for a smooch, but not so much my male partner, who he has only allowed to touch him a few times. He does not like to be picked up at all though, and will not sit on your lap.
He is otherwise the perfect little house guest, completely litter trained and good at sharing and playing with others.
If you would like to meet me, please contact Fostercare to arrange to see me in my foster home in South Perth.
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
