Hello, my name is Mr Roberto and I am one very chatty, purry, furry, chappy. I thoroughly enjoy a good, firm, massaging scratch from head to tail and will head bump you for more if you stop too soon. I am the ultimate super smoocher and head bumper.
I have taken some time to settle in to my foster home and will need my new family to be understanding of my timid nature to start with. I spent my first week hiding under the bed, coming out only to eat and use my litter tray. By the second week I realised that on top of the bed was the place to be and it was a lot more comfortable than the floor. I’ve been with my foster family for a few weeks now and am happy to venture to the lounge room for cuddles, even when there are people visiting. I am a man’s man and absolutely adore hanging with the men folk.
I spent some time as a street cat - which thankfully is behind me. I now prefer to watch the world pass by from the safety of the slightly open window so the breeze can blow in my face. Due to my time on the streets I am missing some bits of my ear, it doesn’t bother me and my hearing is on point… I can hear the meal prep from the other end of the house! I had some dental work done to remove some of my teeth - I’m actually quite gummy but my foster parents tell me it adds to the adorability factor.
Come and meet me in my foster home in Rockingham and see for yourself what an adorable, chatty chap I am.
Mr Roberto is one of our special FIV positive cats. This means you need to take extra special care of this handsome man. FIV+ cats have to protect their immune systems - just like humans who have recovered from a health issue. So you will need to ensure he has his annual health check and vaccinations plus regular worm and flea treatments (just as you would for any cat). In support of our lovely FIV+ cats the annual vaccination is free at the Cat Haven Vet Clinic. To protect both him and other cats Mr Roberto needs to be an indoor cat and, unless you have another FIV+ cat, he needs to be your one-and-only feline fur-child.
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
