Does it cost money to surrender my cat to Cat Haven?

There is a nominal $50 fee for bringing an owned cat to Cat Haven. And, a donation would be appreciated as we are majority funded through community donations, with only minimal government funding received from time to time. Every cat surrendered to Cat Haven costs us for care, on average, $35.00 per day. If the cat is surrendered without an appointment in advance, the charge is $100.

If you decide to use the services of our Ranger, a small service fee is charged - to be advised at the time of booking.

Surrendering Stray Cats

If you find a stray and wish to hand it in to Cat Haven we ask for a $10 donation if possible to help with keeping the cat at the shelter.
