Ranger Service

 

 

Cat Haven’s Ranger Service is dedicated to cat rescue in the Perth metro area, and is there to help with cats which are not owned and which are not used to being handled. If you are unable to handle a stray cat, contact Cat Haven's Ranger Service to assist you. The fees for Ranger service start from $40 for the initial call out, and $10 for each cat that is trapped and brought back to Cat Haven. To make a booking, please call 9442 3600. We encourage people everywhere to keep an eye open for cats and kittens they think might be homeless. Together we can work towards a happy ending.

We try to keep our fees low so that this service is available to everyone, however this low fee is not covering our costs. The Cat Haven Ranger Service costs approximately $200,000.00 per year. These running costs include:

• Vehicles and Servicing
• Petrol
• Cat Food
• Equipment such as traps, bowls, mesh,nets, nooses, ladders, crates and torches to name a few
• Wages
• Training Courses and Accreditation

Our Rangers provide a very important service removing cats from Perth and surrounding areas who are breeding in massive quantities. These cats kill native wildlife. They spread disease and fight with your pets. They spray around your house and toilet in childrens' playgrounds.

In order to keep this service running, we need support. Jobs are backlogged and waiting periods can sometimes be up to three months before we can get to the job. During the time a stray cat is around your property, which may be several days, PLEASE leave out food and water for it. This will encourage it to stay close until it can be caught and, for purely humane reasons, it is the right thing to do.
