Volunteering at Cat Haven is a fantastic way to meet like-minded people and to be involved with a group of people who are focused on improving the welfare of cats in Western Australia.

Volunteers are an essential part of the successful running of Cat Haven. Tasks may include laundry, dishes, general cleaning, socialising with and grooming of the cats. We give a comprehensive induction course prior to commencing.

Some volunteers assist with data entry, copying and collating documents and making telephone calls in our office.

Others are needed at fundraising events such as sausage sizzles, fete days, information stalls, our annual street appeal and with selling chocolates.

We rely heavily on volunteers collecting cats from people who are unable to get them in to us, whether for surrender or for sterilisation. If you can assist us with pick-ups, which may be once a fortnight, once a month or once a year, please let us know. Unfortunately, because of insurance restrictions, the minimum age for volunteers is 16 years. But fear not - we have compiled a great list of things that under-age volunteers can do to help Cat Haven for our younger volunteers!

Please call 9442 3605 if you would like more information or email jody.freeman@cathaven.com.au.
