Daxter is a delightful boy who can't get enough of head and body rubs. There's nothing timid about him and he is my first foster who warmed up and came out of hiding only after 4 hours! Since then, l have introduced him slowly to my three resident cats and he now actively seeks out their company to hangout with them. He still sleeps and eats in the foster room, away from the others but Dax is allowed to explore the rest of the house.
He must love water as he routinely splashes water out of water bowls. Just imagine what he'd be capable of with a paddling pool! He chews on his toy mouse, chases the feather at the end of the stick toy and purrs appreciatively when he receives body rubs. He often rolls on his back and offers his belly for rubs.
It doesn't take Dax long to overcome his shyness of new people and has allowed 4 other members of my family to stroke him. Daxter will need to be indoor only so that he is protected from sun damage.
If you'd like to meet handsome boy Daxter, he is in foster care in Hamersley.
Daxter has a heart murmur. The murmur has been assessed by Cat Haven veterinary staff as mild (grade three or less) and not likely to cause any adverse effects on his health. It is still advised that you have your primary care veterinarian monitor the heart murmur each time he has his annual health check.
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
