Hello there! My name is Little Mau Mau and I’m 3 years old. I’m a very handsome and loving young man looking for my forever family. At Cat Haven I was scared and I wasn’t able to show off my wonderful personality, but now I’m in foster care and I’m thriving! I settled in very well but for the first few nights I preferred to sleep in the bathroom cupboard (I can open the door all by myself, I'm very clever!) and I spent a bit of time hiding behind the couch, but I'm becoming more comfortable every day and I love to hang out with humans and sleep on their beds with them.
I’m an incredibly smoochy boy who adores cuddles, pats and sitting on laps (in fact, I’m cuddled up on my foster mum’s lap as she writes this). I’m also very chatty - I live up to the “Mau Mau” part of my name! Don’t worry though, I’m very respectful at nighttime and I only talk to you when you’re awake to respond to me. For fun I like to look out the window, play with toys, scratch my scratching post and run around the house at high speed.
I’ve already been to another foster home and I loved it except I didn’t get along with the cat that lived there, so I’ll need to go to a home with no other animals. I’d also suit a home with older children or adults because while I am a lovely boy sometimes I get overexcited and swipe or nibble, I will also need to be an indoor only cat to protect my pale features. All I really want is a forever home where I can be loved as much as I will love you. If you think you’re the one for me come and meet me at my foster home in Tuart Hill!
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
