I love food! I’m also a fan of scratches under the chin, behind the ears and around my tail! I also don’t mind hugs. I will paw at your legs when you walk by or give you a warning bite when I’ve been patted, my foster mum said I should be in a home without children.
When I first went into foster I would not come out from under the sink! I can hiss when I’m scared, please don’t take it personally. I don’t like loud noises and I’m still a bit scared if you reach your hand out to me quickly! I like being brushed and I always save my zoomies till night time.
I have a few weird quirks, I drink really loudly and I sneeze like a human! I will also sit really close to you when it's food time. I don’t have many teeth left due to my time on the streets! A good diet really does pay off. See my progression from street cat to house cat here.
This is what my foster carer recently wrote about me: "He has made himself at home now and as you can see enjoys sleeping on our couch. He is very low maintenance and just enjoys scratches and hugs from behind. When we are watching TV he will sit on the mat nearby us and nap.
When we have visitors he isn't scared at all as long as we are around. I don't get swatted at any more as he has learnt to trust me however I think just sometimes he has reflexes and gives me a swat when I touch his flank. He has been very well behaved and knows he isn't allowed in the bedroom."
Please come and meet me in my foster home in North Perth.
Bruce is one of our special FIV positive cats. This means you need to take extra special care of this handsome man. FIV+ cats have to protect their immune systems - just like humans who have recovered from a health issue. So you will need to ensure he has his annual health check and vaccinations plus regular worm and flea treatments (just as you would for any cat). In support of our lovely FIV+ cats the annual vaccination is free at the Cat Haven Vet Clinic. To protect both him and other cats Bruce needs to be an indoor cat and, unless you have another FIV+ cat, he needs to be your one-and-only feline fur-child.
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
