Hello, I'm Chino. Sorry, you didn’t hear me? I’m Chino. I’m a quiet girl, foster mum is always telling me to speak up when I’m talking to her. I’m not a cat who howls down the house. While I do love my food, I won’t be on your case reminding you that’s it’s time to feed me. I might loaf in the doorway blocking you from stepping out of the room until you feed me, but I won’t yell at you that it’s breakfast and dinner time. Foster Mum also ensures that I am polite and say all my please and thank you’s before I tuck into my meals.
I’m a shy girl and I was previously adopted but returned to Cat Haven as I wasn’t the right fit in the home. As I’m shy, I’m scared by sudden movements and loud noises. The vacuum, eep, not a fan of that monstrosity! If you get too close to me & startle me, I might hiss at you because I’m a bit of a scaredy cat. I don’t mean any harm, honest, I’m just easily scared. I wasn’t a fan of my condo at Cat Haven and I was quite sad when I first moved into my foster home. After arriving here, it took me a couple of weeks before I emerged from my hidey space with foster mum still in the same room as me, then I eventually started to eat my meals while she was in the room with me, and I’m now much more social than when I first arrived. I’m now quite happy to share space with people, especially when I’m lounging on my comfy chair. I have met some of Foster Mums family, and while I was wary of them at first and hid behind my chair, I eventually popped out to see what was happening coz I didn’t want to miss out on any of the fun. And more humans means more people to feed me treaties, win win!
Foster mum says I'm low maintenance & independent, I'm not yet 2 years old but i don't run around all day like the crazy little kittens. I do get the zoomies every now & then and startle Foster Mum when I’m leaping around like a deer pouncing on toys & around furniture, but more often than not I like to spend my day chilling out on my chair by the window so I can spend the day watching the world go by. Foster Mum says I’m a stickybeak. She’s come home from work and found my chair swiveled around facing the window so I can look outside from the comfort of my napping spot. I'm not a lap cat yet, so I would like a family that is patient and will understand that I like my time to myself. I’m happy to chill by myself when you’re out at work, but just quietly, I like your company at night when you’re watching a bit of tv.
As I’m a shy scaredy cat, I think it would be best to go to a loving & patient home that is pet & child free as they are likely to scare me. I may seem shy, and I might hiss at you when you first approach me, but I'm just a bit of a scaredy cat. But show me a treatie and I will literally be eating out of your hands. And licking off any let over treaties from your fingers, because we wouldn’t want any to go to waste now would we?
I'd love to meet you at my foster home in Subiaco
Chino has a waiver for a heart murmur. Please contact the Foster department for more information on her condition.
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
