My first few nights in my foster home were a bit scary. I have gradually become more and more confident and now love to sit with my foster family and watch TV in the evening. I am very happy getting lots of attention, and always happy to be patted. I tend to sleep a lot during the day, but like to come out and interact in the late afternoon. I love chasing after my orange ping pong ball.
I am a very fluffy cat with distinct markings on my nose due to a skin condition. This means I am not able to go outside, but I am very happy being an indoor cat. I do like it if I can occasionally sit at a window and watch what is going on outside.
I don’t like loud noises so would probably like a quiet house without children or other pets. I would be a very loyal friend and be very good company. I can’t wait to find my new home and settle down with my new family.
Please come and meet me in my foster home in Salter Point.
Xander has a heart murmur. The murmur has been assessed by Cat Haven veterinary staff as mild (grade three or less) and not likely to cause any adverse effects on his health.
Xander has a skin condition which has caused changes to his nose pad. The skin over the top of his nose is also affected. Xander had a biopsy taken from his nose and he has a moderate chronic hyperplastic mastocytic, eosinophilic and lymphocytic dermatitis. There are a number of different things that can cause this condition, and it can be difficult to determine the underlying cause without specialist testing and food trials. It is not known what causes his skin reaction, therefore it is important that you use a variety of preventative measures.
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
