The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
Hello, I'm Amity! I'm an incredibly affectionate girl, and I'm looking for someone to curl up next to at night and allll day.
I went to my foster house 2 months ago. I've adapted to my new home very quickly and I love exploring new spaces straight away. If you open a new kitchen cupboard or drawer - I will even need to explore that! Gotta check for stray mice, and yes I've found one at my foster mother's house - no mouse will escape my notice!
I'm not a shy girl. I love meeting new strangers - even tradies who come in - I like coming up to them and saying hello.
One of my favourite spots is curling up near a window so that I can see when you arrive home from work, and then I can be at the door to greet you. Or stretching out in the sun while you have breakfast in the morning. When you are home I'll find a place where I can see you so that I feel close to you all the time. I often will come and explore the room that you are in because I like being close to my humans. I also love sitting on the top of the couch back cushion - right next to your head, and purr really loudly!
I love head scratches, much more than body pats. Sometimes I get a bit scared when you pat my body, so young children aren't my favourite people. Sometimes if you touch the wrong spot I'll tell you about with a little playful nip or swipe - but don't worry - I never actually will hurt you. But if you scratch my head I will come back for more and more and more. I also only have a few teeth so I eat very slowly and prefer softer food.
In summary, I need to go to a home with no young children or older people as I am not a lap cat. I came to Cat Haven with another cat but I wasn't very nice to him so we have gone our separate ways. I think it best for me to be your only pet and I can live my life being spoilt and loved - by you, of course!
Come meet me at my foster home in Stratton.
