Pursonality Traits

Beadie came to Cat Haven as a stray. He is a very shy cat so has been in foster care for a few months where he has made a lot of progress towards being more relaxed and sociable. Here is an update from his foster carer:

"Beadie (BD) is becoming a very sweet cat. He is still not a lap cat, but he’s happy to sit near me (not next to me) when I’m reading/watching tv.

He’s usually pretty relaxed, wandering around the house and playing with his toys and zooming around the lounge room after his meals.

He’s happy to get headrubs and cuddles when I’m sitting on the bed. He will now let me pick him up from my bed. But he will run away if I try to give him a cuddle when he’s sitting on a chair and I’m in a standing position."

Because Beadie is still a very timid cat, he would suit a quiet home without young children. You can meet Beadie in his foster home in West Leederville.

Health Issues

Beadie has a skin condition which has caused severe hair loss and itching in the past. There are a number of different things that can cause this condition, and it can be difficult to determine the underlying cause without specialists testing and trials. Allergic skin conditions can recur throughout an animal’s lifetime and continued treatment/ intermittent medication may be required. Cat Haven does not take any responsibility for any subsequent conditions or issues that may develop in the future as a result of this condition.
