Pursonality Traits

Hi, my name is Rocky. I am a very friendly cat who likes laying on laps and being around people.

I can take a little while to get used to you, so I may be a bit scared to begin with. But when I am comfortable with you, I will lay wherever you want me to. I like sleeping under the bed during the day and enjoy the company of people in the evenings. I am very curious even when new people come over, and I will come out to have a look at them.

My current foster carers have another cat who I don't get on with most of the time, otherwise they would adopt me. I need to be adopted by someone who doesn't have a cat and who can spend time with me, as I get a bit upset when I am on my own. Due to my pale features I must be an indoor cat so that I'm protected from sun damage.

Please come meet me in my foster home in Perth City

Health Issues

Rocky has been noted to have a small chip in his tooth that was present when he came to the shelter. Our veterinarians have carefully assessed this chip and no further treatment is currently required.

Rocky has a heart murmur. The murmur has been assessed by Cat Haven veterinary staff as mild (grade three or less) and not likely to cause any adverse effects on his health. If you would like to discuss this further with one of Cat Haven’s veterinarians please ask one of our grounds staff to assist you in booking a consultation.

Rocky presented to CH with a small, flat lesion located mid-way along his tail. Biopsy of this mass confirmed it was a Cutaneous Mast Cell tumour. Cutaneous mast cell neoplasms of the cat are benign superficial skin lesions. Complete surgical excision is recommended and as such Rocky's tail was amputated above the level of the lesion. We do not expect, but can not rule out, further complications arising from this condition.

Cat Haven does not take any responsibility for any subsequent issues that may develop in the future as a result of these conditions.
