The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
Hi everyone! My original name is Hulk because I am such a big boy but my foster mum calls me Monty. I am a six year old boy who has been living a rough life on the streets for most of my life. I have been with Cat Haven for almost a year already so I think it’s definitely time to find my forever home now.
I moved into my third foster home a couple of months ago and I am made a lot of progress there and turned from a terrified, scared boy into a big, cuddly boy. My new foster mum was very patient with me at the start and showed me how nice pats can be and now I can’t get enough of them. See my video on Fostercare Instagram.
I can still be a bit unsure about people from time to time but I am coming out of my shell a little bit more every day, my forever family just needs to be patient with me. Ideally I would like to live in a home without kids because I can be still quite shy. I am living with two other cats in my foster home at the moment and I like them a lot so with a slow introduction I might be ok living with other cats.
I need to be an indoor cat (or confined to a sheltered, secure enclosure) because I am FIV+ and to protect my pale nose from the sun but don’t worry I enjoy the life as a house cat very much. I came to Cat Haven with bald patches on my body and the friendly vets realised I am allergic to something in my food so I need to be on a special diet to prevent it from happening again but as you can see I am definitely not starving and like this food very much, probably a bit too much.
Can you give me a forever home where I can get all the love I missed out on in the recent years? Will you be patient and give me all the time I need to settle in? I promise you, I will be a very affectionate and cuddly boy once I feel comfortable around you, I just need to find the special human who understands I am quite shy to start off with! I haven’t had anyone interested in adopting me so please give me a chance and meet me in my foster home in West Perth.
Hulk has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). FIV is a retrovirus that can compromise the immune system, spread by fighting and deep penetrating wounds. He should lead a normal life despite this diagnosis, but there are a few special considerations that need to be made in regards to his health and well-being long term. These include being an inside only cat; slow and careful introduction to other cats; and annual vaccinations and health checks.
Hulk has a skin condition which has caused severe hair loss and itching in the past. There are a number of different things that can cause this condition, and it can be difficult to determine the underlying cause without specialists testing and trials.
