Want to adopt me?To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
Phone:(08) 9442 3600
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
Hey everyone, my name's Merlin, and like the wizard I am older, and maybe more wiser, than your average cat! At 11 years old I don’t really scare easily like the little ones and I'm a bit more social. I love meeting new people, and every time my foster dad has a friend over I’m always polite and go over and say a quick hi and sometimes end up having a little cuddle with them as well.
I have a little bump in my tail and a small hole in my ear from my old adventures but all I like doing now is spending time on the sofa or on top of my foster mum and dad. I am a little too old for games these days and don’t have too many toys but sometimes I like to play hide and seek on the stairs or behind a pole….or I play a little game of catch, but I am not as fast as I used to be!
I was adopted from Cat Haven but unfortunately it did not work out because they couldn't handle my chatty nature. So if you want someone to chat to (I promise I am also a good listener) come meet me at my foster home in Yokine. I’m looking forward to meeting you and I promise to say hello and most likely give you a little kiss.
Merlin has mild dental tartar and associated gum changes. This is very common in mature cats.
Merlin has a kink in his tail. This little quirk could have been present from birth (a congenital defect) or may have been caused by previous trauma. The Cat Haven veterinarians have assessed his tail and determined that, while a little bit unique, the condition is unlikely to cause any other concerns in the future.Merlin has been treated for ringworm by the Cat Haven shelter and veterinary team. After several weeks of medical therapy, we have assessed him and determined that the ringworm lesions are resolved and that he has recovered from this disease.
