Mr Personality – Toby the Confident Man About Town
I am a very confident man, I have a walk that shows my confidence (my foster mum calls it a strut) and am a vocal boy, talking to let you know what I want. I know my name and come when I am called.
I was surrendered when my last owner couldn’t take care of me anymore. I had a back and belly of matted fur that the kind folk at Cat Haven shaved it off and boy was that liberating. Since then I have gone from strength to strength.
I’m 10 years old but very young at heart. I like to play, throwing my toys around the house and chasing them. One of my favourite pass times of all time is going for a walk. I remind my foster mum twice a day its time we went for a walk. And I can be quite vocal about it. I don’t need a long walk just a change of scenery. I haven’t had a harness yet but she thinks I would be fine with one.
I’m domesticated and used to living in a household. I like to follow people around the house, some say I am quite like that other species that is loyal to their owners. I love to find a sunny spot on the balcony or with the sun coming in through the doors to warm myself up. Especially as my belly and back were without fur however now they are like velvet as my fresh fur grows back.
Eating is a favourite pass time and I love biscuits and some wet food. I use the litter tray, however I do prefer two trays as I’m quite the hygienic boy you know. I haven’t mentioned yet as that I am exceptionally handsome. I am looking for my furever home where you will love me for me as well as my looks. I love it when my FM picks me up and gives me a big cuddle and fluffs up my fur around my collar. I purr like a machine.
I haven’t yet moved to the lap cat stage. I’ll sit on the couch with you but I like my own space.
I’m not a dainty little petal, more the robust boy type specimen. I weigh around 7kgs and am a tall cat (a trait of my breed). I would be well suited to a household where there’s stimulation but not overrun with little people. I am an adult type of guy, but like interacting with guests. I am not shy.
You can meet me and get to know me at my foster house in Mt Lawley. Please get in touch, I’d love to come live with you.
Take care, stay safe. Toby (the dude)
Toby has a small lesion on the eye known as iris pigmentation. This can be seen as a small dark patch on the colored part of the eye. Often this sort of lesion is benign, and is unlikely to cause any visual defects. Occasionally, iris pigmentation can progress to a type of cancer called melanoma. It is always important to monitor iris pigmentation for changes in size, shape and color over time.
He also has chronic sinusitis, most likely a result of a previous cat flu infection.
Toby has been diagnosed with obesity and it is imperative that you continue to reduce your cats weight with the advice provided by the Cat Haven, in conjunction with ongoing monitoring and care with your primary care veterinarian.
