The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
My name is Cookie Wookie and I am a good boy! I'm 4 years old and came to Cat Haven as a stray and they looked after me so well! I needed eye surgery as my eyelashes were irritating my eyes and now I am looking good as new! Take me home today so I can snooze on your lounge!
I have been at my foster home in Spearwood for about a month and you can meet me there. Read what my foster mum wrote about me:
I would describe him as handsome, clever, smoochy, sociable, playful, cheeky and likes company. I have love having him around. He greets us with a chirrup every morning we wake up, and when we come in the door every afternoon. He likes his food and is very responsive to treats. He also loves playing with his toys.
Cookie Wookie has, or is suspected of having, naso-pharyngeal polyps. These are benign growths that can be seen in the back of the cat’s throat, the middle ear, and above the soft palate. The cause of them is unknown though they may be caused by inflammation or a virus.
Cookie Wookie has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). FIV is a retrovirus that can compromise the immune system, spread by fighting and deep penetrating wounds. He should lead a normal life despite this diagnosis, but there are a few special considerations that need to be made in regards to his health and well-being long term. These include being an inside only cat; slow and careful introduction to other cats; and annual vaccinations and health checks.
