Purrsonality Traits

Hi, I’m a handsome, Big Boy looking for a home where I can get outside in the garden. But I will need a sheltered cat enclosure so that my nose doesn't get sun damage.

I’m nearly 8 years old and the Vet thinks I may have some osteoarthritis but you wouldn’t think it when I run upstairs to breakfast or jump up on the table when I think no-one is looking. The first week I was at my foster parents’ house I even managed to jump up in stages to the top of the kitchen cabinets to check out what was up there!

I enjoy my daily routine - I wait until nearly 7am before suggesting my people get up to make my breakfast! I enjoy my food especially Dine Creamy Treats (my favourite). During the day I look out longingly through the screen doors at the world outside, snooze or sometimes play with string with my foster carers. I prefer having someone around for company and get disappointed when my foster carers go out (they go out a lot!)

In the evenings, I give great hugs and love to sit on or beside someone on the sofa, but I have to initiate the contact. I don’t really enjoy being stroked although I sometimes allow my nose and forehead to be tickled. I don’t like dogs and I’d be happier in a home without small children.

I was surrendered as my owners split up and neither could keep me. I don't cope well around young kids or dogs so please keep this in mind when meeting me. Teenage kids and older in the house is best for me. When I first arrived at my foster home I seemed to be confident and settle in quickly but I’m really a bit scared of sudden noises or movements. Sometimes I tried to nip my foster carers or scratch them with my paw if they didn’t do what I wanted or give me extra food when I asked for it. Now that I’ve been here a while I only do that occasionally and I’m much more chilled but I still occasionally feel scared and need reassurance. I’m good company and would love a forever home with an understanding person or family I can get to know and trust.

Email Fostercare with your phone number and foster mum will be in contact to arrange a meeting at my foster home in Fremantle.

Health Issues

Bandit has chronic joint pain and mild discomfort most likely associated with osteoarthritis, an inflammation within the joints and tissues surrounding them. He currently does not require any medication.
