Purrsonality Traits

Hello! I'm an 8 year old lovely lady named Maureen. My owner became unwell so I am looking for a new home with someone who can give me the time I need to gain my confidence. I am scared around strangers but once I trust you will be a smooch.

I'm quite shy and prefer to snuggle up under a blanket, in a bed, a box or anywhere small and cozy. I love chin scratches and will purr non stop if you give me scratches. Sometimes I'll even roll over for belly rubs if I'm in the right mood!

I'm still settling in to my foster home, and am not fazed at all by my foster carer's cats.

Because of my pale features I need a home where I can minimise my exposure to the sun.

Please come meet me at my foster home in Dayton.

Health Issues

Maureen has a skin condition called Feline Acne or Chin Acne. It is not known what causes her skin reaction, though it is usually mild and manageable. Using stainless steel or ceramic bowls rather than plastic often assists. If the issue persists, a low allergen diet should be trialled.  She also has a skin condition which has caused severe hair loss and itching in the past. There are a number of different things that can cause this condition, and it can be difficult to determine the underlying cause without specialists testing and trials. It is not known what causes her skin reaction, therefore it is important that you use a variety of preventative measures. Allergic skin conditions can recur throughout an animal’s lifetime and continued treatment/ intermittent medication may be required.
