The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
Hello, my name is Dragon and I am 18 years old. I am looking for a forever home. I did have a home once but somehow I became homeless and no-one came looking for me.
I know my name and will come when called. My little nose sploodge looks like fangs and my fur is very soft. I also have very faint stripes in my tail that you can only see in the sunlight.
In my first few weeks at my foster home I was very quiet and timid I would skulk around the house and dart away from people. Now, I scream at my foster mum as soon as her alarm goes off until she gives me my morning treat.
I am very picky about the people I am around and first impressions matter a lot to me. I am learning to love more, but I will yell at you for food if I see a little bit of metal at the bottom of my bowl even if there is plenty of food in it.
I scratches in just the right spot for just the right amount of time. I don’t like men or steel cap boots and I hate being picked up and cuddled. My favourite pastime is napping and my favourite toy is a toilet roll tube folded up with treats inside.
My daily routine is I wake up with my foster mum's alarm and follow her around until she goes to work. Sometimes my foster dad will let me in the backyard (completely closed off in a run) and supervise me as I run around for a few minutes before coming back inside and napping until mum gets home. I follow people around the kitchen if I smell meat and wait for my dinner to be served. Then I wait for everyone to be in bed where they can't walk away from patting me.
If you can offer me a true furr-ever home, email Fostercare with your phone details and my foster mum will be in contact to arrange a meeting at my foster home in Coogee.
Dragon has dental disease. This is very common in mature cats, and often will require ongoing veterinary care. Cat Haven recommends that you bring him to your preferred local veterinarian within 6 weeks of adoption to discuss ongoing dental hygiene. Your veterinarian will likely recommend a dental procedure under anaesthetic.
