We can’t wait to hear from you!
Hi, My name is Flo and I am a pretty, two-year-old girl who came to Cat Haven mid last year after being found homeless. As you can imagine, I didn't have much contact with humans while living on the streets and that’s why I am still quite shy around humans. I got adopted last year, however, I didn't make any progress there and that’s why I am back with Cat Haven to learn to trust humans. A few months ago, I moved into my current foster home and here I started to make great progress and now am looking for lovely people who will continue to work with me.
I am slowly learning to trust my foster mum, I am taking treats from her fingers and coming out of my safe spot while she is around. My foster mum is able to pat me but I am still very cautious of her hand and can get scared easily if she moves it too quickly. So please be patient with me! But when I am relaxed, I enjoy pats a lot and I will purr loudly. I am very food motivated and I especially love creamy treats. I also like to play with my foster mum from time to time, she has this stick with feathers at the end which I like to catch but besides that, I am more of a couch potato. Although I am still not brave enough to sit on the couch while my foster parents are around but it is just a matter of time until I feel comfortable enough for this.
At my foster home I am living with a few cats and I get along with all of them so I wouldn't mind living with other cats in my forever home. I will need a quiet home without young kids because loud noises will frighten me and I still get quite defensive if I feel scared. Due to me being back at Cat Haven for the second time, my foster mum wants to make sure I find my perfect home this time. I am looking for this one special human who will be patient, loving and caring and give me all the time I need to settle in and who is willing to work with me so I can continue to learn to trust humans. Will it be you?
Email Fostercare with your phone details and my foster mum will be in touch to arrange a meet and greet at my foster home in Scarborough.
Flo has mild dental tartar and associated gum changes. This is very common in mature cats. She also has a small chip in her tooth that was present when she came to the shelter. Our veterinarians have carefully assessed this chip and no further treatment is currently required.
