Purrsonality Traits

Hi, My name is Elby, short for Mount Elbrus. I am a young, handsome 1 year old lad who was found fending for myself at a business park. Luckily I ended up at Cat Haven and I am ready to find my forever home now.

I am still getting used to being a house cat and I find humans still quite scary. However, I made great progress in my current foster home and happily take treats from my foster mum’s hand and even allow her to pat me from time to time. However, I will definitely need a patient and loving home in which I can continue to learn that humans aren’t bad.

I love cats and it doesn’t matter who I meet, I adore all of them. I am living with four foster siblings at the moment and I like them all: I love to rub my head against them and love to play with them. I will definitely need to have a feline friend in my future home because they give me confidence and will help me to feel safe around humans.

Even though I am still quite shy, I am very curious and playful. I love all of my toys and like to explore my foster home. I also like food a lot, you can win me over with creamy treats and temptations. And as expected from a perfect house cat, I am an excellent user of my litter tray and scratching post.

I will need to be an indoor cat only to protect my beautiful pale features from the sun, but don’t worry I don’t mind it at all, I enjoy being an indoor cat. My foster mum thinks I am best suited to a home without young kids because I get frightened easily and will protect myself if felt threatened.

Will you be patient, loving and understanding and give me a forever home which I deserve? If so, email Fostercare with your phone details and foster mum will be in contact to arrange a meeting at my foster home in Scarborough.

Health Issues

Mount Elbrus has sustained long term sun damage to one or both ears, and in some cases the nose as well. He has been checked by the Cat Haven veterinarians who decided the changes are so mild that he does not need any treatment at this stage. We recommend that he is kept completely indoors and out of the sun to prevent progression of this condition.
