Want to adopt me?To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
Phone:(08) 9442 3600
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
Hello there lovely human, thanks for stopping by. I am a bit shy but let me tell you a little about myself. My name is President Janice Ashby, my foster mum calls me Janice which is fine, as long as she doesn’t call me late for dinner. I am a young kitty of 15 months so still a spritely teenager in your human years. I came to Cat Haven a few months ago with my own kittens who have now grown up and gone to their furever homes so now it is time for me to find mine.
I can be quite shy and timid meeting new people but after a month in my foster home I am learning that humans are great, the pats they give are great and time with them is great. I would love to keep coming out of my shell and learning more in my furever home. It would be really nice if my new purrent is a very patient person who understands that it may take me a while to be comfy enough to sit near you or to be cuddled. I don’t mind being picked up but need to build up the cuddle time.
I really like spending time with other kitties so if you have a friend for me that would be really nice to be slowly introduced to them so we can have a long successful friendship. But if it is just me in your lovely home that is okay with me.
Toys are very interesting to me, I am learning about them too. So far I really like to play and toss around the little rattly mice, chook and roll the balls around the floor. A ball trapped in a snake thing on the floor keeps me entertained as well. I like it when my foster mum plays with the toys with me and teaches me new things.
I need a home where I can minimise my exposure to the sun so that my pale features don't get sun damage. I am in very good health now after I have recovered from ringworm and had a few teeth out. I have something the vet calls juvenille gingivitis which means my gums are inflamed so eating dry food helps keep them clean and regular vet checks to make sure it is under control. I will most likely grow out of this condition but my purrent needs to keep checking. Although the ringworm has been treated there is still a small chance it may come back so it is best that my new home does not have anyone living there that is immunocompromised such as elderly, pregnant or a newborn baby.
I would love to meet you and show you my gorgeous green eyes and soft fur in person so please contact Fostercare with your phone details so that you can arrange to see me in my foster home in Beldon. See you soon!
Janice also has a waiver for Ringworm (recovered).
