Want to adopt me?
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
Phone:(08) 9442 3600
Email: fostercare@cathaven.com.au
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
Purrsonality Traits
I'm Xavier! I'm a one-and-a-half-year-old boy who was found homeless. I have an adorable meow, I love head scratches and am learning about being a lap cat.
I'm still a shy boy and sudden noises or loud babies will send me running. This is probably a result of living rough for most of my young life. But now I know my future is going to be one of comfort and safety as because I'm FIV+ I need to be indoors only or confined to a sheltered, secure cat run. This will also help protect me from sun damage to my fair features.
I would suit a calm, cat and child-free environment with lots of treats and sofa-time. Email Fostercare with your phone details so my foster carer can set up a meet and greet at my foster home in Shenton Park. You'll be able to admire my multi-coloured toe-beans!
Health Issues
Xavier has mild dental tartar and associated gum changes. This is very common in mature cats. He has a small chip in his tooth. Our veterinarians have carefully assessed this chip and no further treatment is currently required.
Xavier has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). FIV is a retrovirus that can compromise the immune system, spread by fighting and deep penetrating wounds. He should lead a normal life despite this diagnosis, but there are a few special considerations that need to be made in regards to his health and well-being long term. These include being an inside only cat; slow and careful introduction to other cats; and annual vaccinations and health checks.
