Cat Haven is a 7 day a week operation that has been rescuing and rehoming cats since 1961, taking in roughly 8,000 cats and kittens each year. Operating under the Getting to Zero model, our goal is to rescue and rehome as many cats as possible, ensuring they find loving forever homes.
Our employees are the lifeblood of our organisation, working across all areas including, cat welfare, foster, boarding, reception, clinic and admin. We are also supported by a large group of dedicated volunteers who assist us in everyday operations. Accounts Payable / Receivable Officer
Part-Time | 30 hours/fortnight | 3-Month Contract

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Accounts Payable/Receivable Officer to join our Finance team and help us make a real difference in the lives of cats and kittens across WA.
As a detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivable Officer, you’ll play a vital role in advancing our mission by supporting the day-to-day financial operations at Cat Haven. Your responsibilities will include ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments, maintaining a well organised accounts receivable system, and proactively managing outstanding accounts – all contributing to the smooth financial running of our organisation and the care of cats across WA.
Key Responsibilities of the Role include:
- Process and code transactions into the general ledger
- Match purchase orders and process invoices for timely payment
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding debts
- Liaise with suppliers regarding invoice queries
- Assist the Finance Manager with reporting and analysis
- Support budgeting and costing activities
- Perform ad hoc financial and administrative tasks
What You'll Need:
- Qualification or 2–3 years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping
- Proficiency in MYOB, Excel, Word, Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Availability Mondays and Thursdays
- WA Driver's Licence & current Police Clearance
